SAFRE 2021 COVID-19 Statement:
The health and wellbeing of our SAFRE attendees, exhibitors, and guests is our top priority. To ensure the safety of all who attend SAFRE 2021, please note the following updates regarding Covid-19.
The Raleigh Convention Center takes your safety very seriously. They have increased their already-stringent cleaning procedures in the wake of COVID-19 and have received their GBAC STAR™ accreditation. You can read more about their cleaning protocols and commitment to attendee safety here.
On Friday, 5/14/21 Governor Roy Cooper released Executive Order 215 significantly lessening restrictions in North Carolina. Effective immediately, all requirements related to mask wearing, social distancing, and wellness screenings have been lifted and are no longer mandatory for events within the Raleigh Convention Center with fewer than 5000 attendees in any one space at one time.
If you have not been vaccinated, we encourage you to follow CDC guidelines and continue to protect yourself and others by continuing to wear a mask.
The Staff and the Board of Directors for the North Carolina State Firefighters’ Association will safely host the Annual Meeting and the South Atlantic FIRE RESCUE Expo at the Raleigh Convention Center August 11-14, 2021. However, it is possible that conditions and guidelines may change. An alternate schedule or a cancelation may be necessary for the safety and well-being for all SAFRE participants.
Please be assured that we are closely monitoring the current situation with the COVID-19 virus and will follow any and all recommendations from the North Carolina Governor’s Office, the CDC, NCDHHS and the City of Raleigh.
